Authors Note: This is a 5 paragraph essay on Patriotism and if it still does matter.
Does patriotism still matter because why were we in one of the 2 biggest war? What would happen if we didn’t have heart for our country and our people? We couldn’t survive one week without caring for our country and our people.
In addition to that without patriotism it would affect me, you, and everybody else because one person can ruin patriotism. If your mom isn’t patriotic then the kids will do what the mom said, then when you grow up you would tell your kids not to be patriotic they will listen to you cause you’re their mom and or dad. As I said one person could ruin patriotism.
As were in the war a lot of people are giving up cause people really don’t care about patriotism because one person think we are losing in the war, and they think we’re going to lose and when that happens the people who won the war will make us not patriotic, so it can and it is affecting us in the war.
Another reason why we are losing cause we the people are giving up for the soldiers so when they hear that they think too much about how nobody cares about them, but the military should be thinking about when they get home their family is proud of them and not only that the United states of America is proud of them.
As the years go on were slowly losing patriotism. What we can do to bring back patriotism back is get the teachers to get their kids to look at the flag hard and right good 3 to 4 paragraphs. For the kids that don’t go to school for their reasons, parents if they are old enough you should take them to the grave yard and look at all the soldiers or the veterans who fought for our country, then they should right a good hard 3 to 4 paragraphs, if their younger and not in school watch a PG or a G movie about patriotism, and get them to talk about what they just watched. You don’t have to do this if you don’t want to, but this could help.

Were diffrent in our way
Authors Note: This is word choice and context explain the difference between the two poems "Big Yellow Taxi" "Field Below"
Big yellow taxi- I think the meaning of this poem is about a taxi who takes her dad away and about nature and everything around them. The mood for the poem would be sad, but if you listen to the song, it sounds happy, jumpy. Same with the tone.
Field Below- The meaning for this poem would be nature and how you shouldn’t live in the big city because you wouldn’t get to experience all the great stuff around you. The tone and the mood I think is still sad depressed, if you listen to the song you can here that it is slow and makes you kind of want to cry.

Why thanks for telling
authors note: This is a parody in a poem form from just to say and its made into Abraham Lincon
I have killed
A lot of vampires
At night
I saved you all
From death
And extension
Forgive me for what I have done
I only did it because it was so fun
And now I'm older
And I cant have that fun
I will make my son become the one
This relates to the novel because Abraham Lincoln is a vampire hunter and he does this all at night. The speaker is Abraham, The audience is everyone because he is confessing to everyone that he is a vampire hunter. The tone is depression and regretful. The mood is regretful.

Which would you choose Good or Bad?
Authors Note: This is a short response for conflict on Ordinary Boy.
What if the greatest hero of all has fallen into the bad side, and you and few other superhero friends have to go on a journey and save the most powerful Hero of all, The Amazing Indestructo? In the book Ordinary Boy, a group of characters must resolve this conflict and bring The Amazing Indestructo back to the side of good.
The main conflict in Ordinary Boy is person versus person. Different heroes are matched against other heroes depending on the powers they were born with. The biggest match during most of the story is probably the Amazing Indestructo against any evil, but mainly against Professor Brain-Drain (who is the worst villain of all). In particular, Ordinary Boy
Along the progression of the story small problems are solved by super heroes that have powers to deal with only one particular problem. Some examples of characters solving these minor outbreaks include: Snowflake freezing something that is burning, Stench forcing people away because of the smell, The major resolutions are made when the old time heroes try to make their way back into being members of the League of Ultimate Goodness. The Amazing Indestructo is the only hero to be able to conquer all evil, but he falls when he’s up against his ultimate match, Professor Brain-Drain, Sneak, and the Tycoon.
This book reminds me of Justice League heroes, they have almost the same conflict. In some of the books, Superman is the one who falls. And his other team needs to go find him and bring him back to the good side.

Cole we are cool
Authors Note: This is a letter back to Cole describing how he has changed and who he has affected because of his actions
To Cole Matthews,
Hey Cole, it’s me Peter Driscal I wanted to let you know that I accept your apology, and yes I will have lunch with you, but first I have a few things to say to you. One do you know how much you affected me after beating me up, I learned that sometimes I need to not tell people bad things, but start telling the good things, after you beat me up. And when I was fully healthy, I went to the gym, I went and basically changed my whole life style because of you. For the first time in my life I feel good about myself. I also went to your house a couple of months ago and I said to your mom and dad that I didn’t care what your son did to me and there is no need to punish him. And your dad’s reaction was “Shut up kid leave me alone” after that I kind of know why you beat me up, I think your dad does the same thing that you did to me but to you. Oh ya, your dad and mom are so mad it’s not funny. I think next time you should think before you do something because you affected not only me but your friends and your parents.
Sincerely,
Peter Driscal

Peter im sorry
Authors note: This is going to be a letter to peter about how he has changed and how he is sorry. And wants to be friends.
To Peter Driscal,
Hey it’s me Cole Matthews, do you remember me? Of course you do, I was the one who beat you nearly to death for ratting on me. You know when I was beating you; I was in so much anger that I couldn’t control myself; I only wanted to punch you a few times I didn’t want you to go to the hospital because of me. When I was sent to the island I was so mad that I burnt my shed and my food. It was stupid of me but I can’t control my anger. You are probably thinking that I should die and you wish I died on the island but, when I went there I’m sure that I made peace with myself and everything around me. Since I’m home and healthy now I’m going to take some classes so I can get over my anger. Oh ya I forgot to tell you this, but when I was on the island I saw this big bear and it looked so good to kill so I decided to try to go kill it, it didn’t turn out so great he started attacking me I felt defenseless, but then I thought of you and when I was beating you up you probably thought the same thing. My overall point in this letter is that I’m sorry and I have changed since the last time we “met.” And maybe do you want to get some lunch so we can catch up?
Sincerely,
Cole Matthews

Describing Mother to son
Authors Note: This is a Word Choice and content piece describing Mother to Son
In Mother to Son there are a lot of figurative language that is used in this poem the metaphor is “And life for me ain't been no crystal stair” What this means is that her life was diligent it wasn’t perfect it was normal. The overall mood is for me is perseverance. I only say this because it sounds like she’s talking to her son or daughter after she’s down and she/he needs help to get back up. The tone for what I think is also perseverance, for the same thing.
